Clonliffe`s Dara Kervick has safely negotated passage through to the European Indoor 400 semi in Prague. Dara won heat no. 6 in 47.03, the 2nd fastest heat of the session. Later in the afternoon Dara put in another top class performance finishing in 4th place in semi final no. 2 in 46.96. A great effort and still with the 4 x 400 to come later this weekend.
In the 800 heats Kris Valters running for his country Lativa had a good run recording a time of 1.50.94 to finish 5th in his heat.
Declan Murray secured a semi spot with a 2nd place finish in his heat 1.49.69. The 800 semis are tomorrow afternoon.
