Declan Murray put in a spirited performance in semi final no. 3 of the 800s at the European Indoor Championships in Prague this afternoon, finishing 5th and running a season`s best of 1.48.09, with only the top 2 going through to tomorrow`s final it brings an to an end the Clonliffe man`s journey from New Jersey to Prague. It has been a very positive 2nd European championship for Murray and his time today betters the current Clonliffe Harriers Indoor club record which he himself set in Boston earlier in the season, by over two tenths.
Next Clonliffe boys in action will be in the 4 X 400 relay tomorrow afternoon, with both Dara Kervick and Timmy Crowe in the squad.
