The August club track series concluded last night with the 5000. It was a perfect night for a distance race: dry, little or no wind and fresh, drawing another good turn out of club athletes. First home was Sean Doran, in his 2nd race of the week, winning fairly comfortably in 16.51 from, once again the bridesmaid, Kevin Dowling 2nd and Shane Casey 3rd. Fastest lady was Aimee Ahern. Thanks once again to the officials last night.
There`s no rest for the wicked as the Grand Prix Series is back next Thursday: the Bonass Trophy/Club 10,000 Championships.
