Clonliffe athletes were to the fore in Clonakilty, Co Cork this morning with wins being recorded in both the Marathon and 10k races. Tudor Mireca is clearly well recovered from his exertions in the Dublin city Marathon 4 weeks ago as he won today’s Clonakilty Waterfront marathon in a time of 2:30.57, the best part of 20 minutes clear of second-place. There was an excellent run by Mihai Sprincean in the 10K race as he won in an impressive 29.51. Cathal McHale had a gallop around the Poppintree Parkrun crossing the line fastest in 15.51.
