A band of Clonliffe Harriers made their way North for today`s Northern Ireland Masters Track & Field at the Mary Peter`s Track, Belfast. It was a very successful sortie for the group, particularly Geraldine Reilly. Ger`s excellent form continued as she won O/50 gold in both 400 and 800. Even more impressive was the fact that following her 800 win in 2.30.66 some 20 minutes later she not only won the 400 but set a new National record of 65.26.
Also on the winners rostrum was George Maybury winning O/60 800 gold and Big Joe Gibbons winning gold in the Weight Throw, and then silver in the javelin. Unfortunately Ronan Gately tweeked his hamstring and was forced to pull out in the first of his planned events.
