It was a Clonliffe Harriers win on the double in Galway Bay yesterday, the 7th. Mihai Sprincean won the 10k, his maiden win in Ireland, in 32.25 while training partner Sergiu Ciobanu won the 21k race in 70.23.
In county Down Lee Maginnis was 3rd in the 3.5 mile race at the GR8 Run Dundrum.
Cathal McHale was first in the Abbotstown Parkrun on Saturday morning in 16.52.
Sunday, the 8th: Karl Nolan was 4th in the Armagh 10 mile in 55.17. In the Fast lane Three Quaters marathon Sue Kelly 3.09.54 and Joanne McCabe 3.17.09. In the half Maurice McCrohan 1.41.36.
Tudor Mireca continued his Dublin Marathon build up with a win in the Irish Three Quaters Marathon in Longwood, Co Meath in a very tasty 1.47.02, a course record.
Stephen Tracey ran an impressive 2.49.53 in the Chicago Marathon.
