Great news from the States as Cathal Doyle marked his first race in some nine months with a win in the 1500 for Portland at the L&C Spring Break Open held at Griswold Stadium, Portland yesterday March 19th. After a fairly pedestrian opening 800 Cathal turned on the burners to blast a 54 second final lap to take the win in 3.45.31.
Missed from last week also in the US was Dave Fitzmaurice`s 15.13 in the Blues and Shamrocks 5K, New York, NY on March 6th.
