Cathal Doyle took another big chunk out of his 1500 pb in this afternoon’s IMC Greystones meet as he ran a fantastic 3.44.74 in placing 3rd a fraction behind Rahenys Brian Fay and winner Luke McCann (DCH).
Ian Guiden in his first track race in a year ran 8.31.75 in the 3000. Eoin Taggart a PB of 8.48.20 and Liam Roarty 9.02.86. A pb also by Sean Carrigg in the 1500 B of 4.10.42. Fionn Carroll after his win in Wednesday’s graded meet did the same again in the 800 B in a pb of 1.57.94, Jarlaith Jordan 2.04.03. Greta Streimikyte ran close to her pb in the 800 2.18.41.
Meanwhile in the Phoenix Park the national road 5k took place where Sean Doran was 13th and 4th in the senior championship in 15.42. Eoghan Murphy ran 17.32 and George Maybury 22.31, 4th M65.
Also on Saturday in New York City Dave Fitzmaurice was 6th in a 5k road race in 15.34.
Sunday the 5th David Brady was 33rd in the Drogheda 10k 38.17.
