Cathal Doyle once again qualified for the NCAA 1500 finals. In last nights (Friday the 27th) West region held at the John McDonnell Field at the University of Arkansas Cathal finished 3rd in 3.42.84 to go through. It was another slow burner with a phenomenal sub- 54 second last Lap, with the first 4 in an almost photo finish. Cathal hit the deck just over the line but thankfully no major damage done.
Also last night Richie Owens made a welcome return to action finishing 2nd in the Ballyskenach 5k Road Race in Roscrea, Co. Offaly in 15.47.
Today, Saturday the 28th Fintan Kerins was 2nd in the Law Society’s Calcutta 5K run in a time of 16.44 at Blackhall Place, Dublin.
