The Dublin Cross Country takes place on Sunday November 1st in Tymon Park, off the M50. An action packed programme gets underway at 11.00am with the Dublin Juvenile (uneven ages) championships and then progresses to the junior and seniors. With the change in the cross country season meaning that the Nationals take place three weeks later in Santry this year`s Dublin seniors will be possibly the keenness fought in years.
In recent years Dublin clubs have dominated the Nationals so the battle for Dublin honours will give a very good indicator of how things may pan out at the Nationals. The Clonliffe teams will be confirmed during the course of the week.
The Club`s juvenile athletes were in fine form at last week`s Even ages, several of these athletes will double up and step up a year next week as Clonliffe expects to field strong teams in both boys and girls races at U/13, U/15 and U/17. Juvenile athletes consult with your coaches for meeting times next week. A word of warning to all….it`s a good walk from the car parks in Tymon to the cross country course, allow at least 20/30 minutes.
