Dublin Juvenile T&F League – Report from meeting 4

Ulrik Nyberg reports: The last of this year’s four Dublin Juvenile T&F League meetings took place on today in Tallaght under a blue sky. It was great to see such a large group of young Clonliffe athletes take part and do well in the running, throwing and jumping. The league really provides a great opportunity to try the many different events open to U10-U16s. It is also an important part of the preparations for those who are going to take part in the upcoming Dublin Juvenile T&F Championships.

Our youngsters produced many fine results and several of our athletes strengthened their positions in the league tables. Here are some of the highlights:

Girls U16 – Emma McDonnell, 200m 1st, 1 000 m 2nd

Girls U15 – Sally Somula, 200 m 1st

Boys U 15 – Keith Burke, Shot putt 3rd

Boys U14 – Jonathan Fitzsimons, 200 m 1st, 1 000 m 1st

Boys U 13 _ Christian Finn, 200m 3rd, High Jump 3rd (pb: 1.35m)

Girls U12 – Ava Usanova, 200 m 1st, High jump 2nd (PB, 1 m 30 cm)

Strong performances also in Girls U15 by Natalia Gill, Boys U15 by James McDonnell, Jonas Nyberg and Ronan Donohue, Girls U14 by Orla O’Sullivan, Eabha Guy and Rachel Power, Girls U12 by Alexandra Kelly, Sarah McDonnell, Sally-Anne Nyberg and Rebecca Walsh, Boys U12 by Jack McDonnell, Girls U10 by Sienna Kelly and in Boys U10 by Ethan Sumola.

Points have now been accumulated by the athletes over the four league meetings. Final standings per age group to be communicated.
