Dublin Tunnel Run 2012 is fast approaching

Clonliffe Harriers AC is  assisting Focus Ireland with one of it`s major fund raisers for 2012: The Dublin Tunnel Run on Sunday week, August 12th. All athletes, runners, joggers are encouraged to get involved in this most worthy of causes. Clonliffe members not running are requested to make themselves available to help out on the morning (there will be time to still catch the Olympic Marathon on TV) please contact Noel Guiden (0879599888) or Tom Griffin (0877811047). Dublin Tunnel Run 2012

Entries will be accepted until Thursday 9th August and the fee has increased from €25 to €30 from 27th July until Thursday 9th August.

All registrations received before 27th July will be posted out.

All Registrations that come in after 5pm on Friday 27th July will be available to be picked up from Focus Ireland offices between 7.30am – 7.30pm on Fri 10th Aug and 10am – 4pm on Sat 11th Aug.  We will also have race packs for collection on Sunday 12th August from 7.45am – 8.45am.

Don’t miss your chance to race through the Dublin Tunnel (without your car!!). The inaugural Dublin Tunnel Run will take place on Sunday August 12th 2012 at 10am. This is a 10K event and is open to all walkers, joggers and runners. So get training now for this fantastic event!

So whether you aspire to complete a 10K run for the very first time or want to race against the clock while also raising much needed funds for people who are homeless this is the race for you.

Registration costs €30 and we would ask you to fundraise for Focus Ireland for a suggested amount of €25. If you would like to fundraise for another charity then that is no problem, you will still need to register and pay the €30 here once you have completed registration just contact your chosen charity and ask them for a fundraising pack.

The Dublin Tunnel Run is set to be a day out for all the family with magicians, cheerleaders and music acts including the Dublin Gospel Choir performing in the Point Village while the race is going on so feel free to bring your supporters on the day.  We will also have Q102’s Blue Crew down with us keeping the kids entertained with balloon animals and face-painting.
