Eamonn Byrne hammers opposition in Dublin Seniors

Jun 18, 2007 [Noel Guiden] At the Dublin Senior Track and Field Championships held on Saturday evening Clonliffe`s Eamonn Byrne was victorious in the Hammer competition with a best of 43.12 m. Also in action at the Dublins was Stephen Harkins who ran a 1500m PB of 4.15.26. Meanwhile in Uden, Holland John Laffey continues his transition from 100 to 400 man with a superb 48.45 for second place, John`s time is only half a second off Anthony Foran`s 12 year old club record. Closer to home Clonliffe new boy Jeremy Lyons guested in the Munster Track and Field C`ships were he placed 3rd in the 800m in 1:56.12 and finally Francis Ni Reamion ran 9:55 for 2nd place behind Rosemary Ryan in the Inter-Varsity International between UL Selection -v-Harvard and Yale Combined in Limerick.
