The big road race in Dublin on Good Friday was the Healthy Heart 5k in the Phoenix Park where 800m man Mark McDonald placed 2nd in 16.39 and Louise Reilly was 1st woman and 7th overall in 19.07.
On Saturday the Sherlock Brothers won on the double in the Atlantic! Cleasathon Inis Oirr, Irish Oirr Island, Galway was the venue where Tom Sherlock took the win in the 10k race while Niall, in his first race since recovering from a broken ankle won the 5k. To complete a fairly unique day for the Sherlocks the lads father won the O/55 race!
Easter Monday: near Mullingar the Ringsteown Half Marathon took place where Tudor Mircea placed 2nd in 70.27. In Clonltarf the Brian Boru 10 Mile took place today with a number of Clonliffe athletes in action including 11th Davy Byrne (57.59), 33rd Philip O`Doherty (62.49), Sinead Duffy (77.55) and Janette Reid (87.10).
