Efrem 6th in European 10,000

Efrem Gidey has just ran the race of his life. A controlled and mature run in tonight’s European 10,000 m Championships in Munich where Efrem got himself into the position of never being out of the lead group, the pace fluctuated up and down but Efrem never panicked and stuck to his race plan. 800 to go he was in the lead group of 6 that had opened a gap and although he found the pace a little too hot over the final 600 he maintained that 6th position and broke 28 minutes recording a time of 27.59.22. Efrem is 21 years of age and this was his 2nd ever 10,000 on the track. An extremely proud day for the entire Clonliffe Harriers family. Efrem you have done us proud.
