Efrem Gidey blasted around the Phoenix Park at this morning’s New Year’s day Tom Brennan 5K Road Race winning in a superb time of 13.43. Stephen Cashin recorded a huge PB of 14.31 to take 6th place. In 9th place was Ed Tottenham also running a PB (14.51). Next in was Sean Carrigg 15.10 in 15th with Sean Doran 17th in 15.14. Also running was Jean Carr (21.20) 2nd W60. The team of Efrem, Stephen and Ed took first on 16 points well clear of 2nd place Mullingar Harriers AC. (It has since been confirmed by the organisers that due to an error the course was short of 5k.)
