The first of the 2022 Club Track Championships takes place next Thursday the 28th with the 10,000 incorporated into the Grand Prix Race. Entry is now open. Regardless of whether you are running on a one off basis or are running in the Grand Prix you must enter through your coach by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Coaches please enter the name of the athletes along with expected aprox time for grading purposes. Entry closes on Monday.
Entry: By email only to email@example.com. Now open. Closing Monday.
Check in/Bib Numbers: all athletes will check in at the Clonliffe Club House. Check in opens at 7.15pm. Athletes who competed in the previous GP races please bring and wear the bib you were given for this race. Runners who are competing in the 10,000 C’Ship/GP Series for the first time please collect your bib at 7.15pm. Please retain this bib number for the remainder of the series.
Warm up: Please complete all warm-ups off the track as training will be ongoing from 7 PM.
Race start 8.00pm. Please be aware of athletes who may still be training whilst the race is underway, after the race gets underway, please funnel into the inside lanes which will remain exclusively for the race for its duration.
Finish: At the race finish please go into the finishing chute as directed by the race officials, please do this immediately and keep your place. The officials will do their utmost to accurately record all finishing places and finishing times but your cooperation is needed to follow the officials’ instructions.
Prize giving: to the winning athletes will be made as soon as possible after the race on the night.
Finally: Please when you are leaving the track be aware that training is continuing so look right and yield to athletes who may be running fast on the track. Please do not approach officials looking for your race result, these will be published on the club website as soon as possible post-race. Enjoy the race.
