Entry to club cake race now open

Club members please note that entry to December 21’s club cake race is now open and will remain open for seven days. Athletes who wish to run the cake race must pre-enter, for obvious reasons no entries on the night. Please talk to your coach as we are asking coaches to submit entries by email for both men and women, as there will be a combined 5K handicap this year, to events.clonliffeharriersac@gmail.com with the name, confirmation of whether the athlete is a junior, senior or master and a predicted finishing time. If you are not a member of a training group you may enter direct using the same procedure. Entry will close on Thursday, December 16, unfortunately no entries can be accepted after that date. We would also like the night to be a charitable one and that everyone competing bring an envelop with a donation to Vincent de Paul (it’d be appreciated if you would make the cash donation a €5/€10 or a bit more if you can afford it), the captains will then donate the entire sum collected on behalf of Clonliffe to V de P.

The full start list and handicaps will be published the day before the race. As per previous posting the club dressing rooms and showers unfortunately remain closed, unfortunately we cannot have the usual social night and the 2021 cake race will be an open air event. Most importantly we will remember Joe Cooper, who’s first anniversary is that day, by all runners wearing a replica of Joe’s famous orange hat, these will be distributed on the night.

Anyone available to officiate please contact Noel Guiden.
