Round up: Aaron Hanlon in Regionals plus Scullion and Sanchez are back!

Aaron Hanlon had possibly his best race to date in the States yesterday in Boston. The NCAA Regional Championships took place at Franklin Park, where the Clonliffe man placed 21st overall in 31.10.5 and was 2nd scored for Providence. Aaron was a mere 9 seconds off the his team mate, Morton Miler Julian Oakley (NZD), the Friars, however, placed 6th overall and will not progress to the Nationals.

At yesterday`s British and Irish Masters Cross Country held in non stop rain at a muddy Santry Demsene the sole Clonliffe representative Pat Bonass was 12th in the M70 race (28.00).

With the Nationals next Sunday it`s great to report on Stephen Scullion`s successful race back to fitness. After a 52 minute 10 Mile in Portsmouth a couple of weeks back Stephen wound up his preparations with a win on the road in today`s Brooks Brighton 10k.

Finally in Spain yesterday Barbara Sanchez ran 2:42:43  (23rd place, Female ) in Valencia marathon.
