Cathal Doyle had his first taste of competitive NCAA cross country today for the University of Portland in the West Coast Conference held in Craig Ranch Regional Park, North Las Vegas. Cathal finished a fine 18th in a lightning fast 8K event in a time of 24.09.6, his 5K split was 14.53 and fifth scorer for the Pilots. Portland finished in third and with the top 2 only guaranteed a place in the NCAA Cross Country Championships on March 15th now await NCAA Championships selections which will be announced on March 6.
