Gary wins National 50k in record time plus more

Gary O’Hanlon today retained the National 50k championship at Donadea Forest Park in a time of 2.50.46. Gary’s winning time was some 4 minutes faster than his 2018 winning time and was thus a new Irish record. Making matters even more impressive was that fact that his record run was achieved by a winning margin of a massive 26 minutes!

In the USA Brian Flanagan was 5th in the 3000 at yesterday’s Bulldog Invitational Meet in Birmingham, Alabama in 8.44.93.

Also Saturday in Birmingham, (but GB not USA!) at XC league Jayme Rossister was 12th (31.08) with Liam Roarty 54th (31.55).

Sunday Sergiu Ciobanu was 2nd in the Enniscorthy 10k in 31.13.
