Greta Streimikyte has retained her European Para Athletics T13 1500 title this evening in Poland. Greta, who had struck gold in this event in 2018, ran strongly from the front running the legs off the opposition winning in a new European record 4.39.28.
Speaking after the race Greta said ‘We decided that we would run from the front and that it would be great practice for Tokyo and it all worked out.’ She went on to say ‘The two Russian girls had beaten me in the past a good couple of times so I am delighted that this time I was lucky enough to beat them.’
