Goodbye and thanks, Leo

Eugenia Bateson: And so we say farewell and bon voyage to one of our best loved Juvenile Coaches.
Leo Hession has been at the center of the Juvenile section of the club, according to Gladys…for 100 years !!
He has coached some of our seniors from the time they were 8 and 9 years of age and has given so generously of his time. Leo’s 3 kids were members of the club right up to Junior and senior level but even when they had hung up their spikes, Leo still came to coach our youngest Juveniles.  Leo has a fantastic sense of dry humour that left many kids scratching their heads but they always had a laugh.
Leo is one of a kind and will leave a big gap in Gladys team. But now it’s his time to travel , practice his Spanish and bake the best of breads.
Thanks for everything Leo, your contribution to the Juvenile Section has played a huge part in our success.  You will be missed by all in Clonliffe Harriers.
