Grand Prix Latest: with eleven rounds gone Grant heads the pack

After eleven rounds the Grand Prix leader board shows a clear leader in Declan Grant on 234 points from Mick Bermingham on 229. With the Grand Prix Series based on an athletes ten results all will change, it is interesting to note that Mick Bermingham has scored in ten events to date whilst Declan Grant has eight.  Advantage Grant possibly?

Emma Dunne currently places 3rd on 209 points with Melissa Curran on 203 and David O’Sullivan on 196.

What is extremely interesting to note is that there are 92 athletes on the leader board – an extraordinary statistic.

The Grand Prix mid season break is almost over and the series will leap back into action on Thursday the 7th of September with the Bonass Trophy for the club 10,000 Championship to be followed then by round 13, one of the jewels in the crown, the Walker Cup back on the track.  This will then be followed by the Ahern Cup/Club 10 Mile in the grounds of Malahide Castle and then in November back on the country for the Irwin Cup and the finale the Horan Cup on November 25th.

The up to date leader board can be accessed on the Grand Prix Series page which can be found by going to the menu above, going then to promotions and then use the drop down to Grand Prix Series.
