Grand Prix Series Round 2 Attracts over 70 starters !!!

Liam Hennessy Reports: Over 70 runners toed the line for The Mc Donald Cup – Grand Prix Series Round 2 – Track Race over 4 miles – held at The Morton Stadium – Thursday, April 12th, 2018 – Under full floodlights. The weather was a dry, clear and 6 degrees. Many thanks to Colm Doran for his generous sponsorship of the Mc Donald Cup.

What a start to the series – Two races run and what a start this year – We are delighted with the turnout for the first two races and now we move to some races that you should find a bit shorter and maybe a bit easier !!!.

So whats next ?

Round 3 is next – The 127th Running of The Clonliffe 2 Mile Track / Road / Park Race (Ireland’s oldest race) – Thursday, April 26th, 8pm – Morton Stadium – Racing / Training shoes should be fine. You will need to register in the hall at the Clonliffe Harriers Clubhouse, as all runners need to wear race numbers, so please allow plenty of time to register. We would encourage everyone to run, as our 2 mile race is such a great part of our club history and we want to help make it a fab night – so lets see you there for what should be a great race !!!.
