Eoin Murray reports: The Dylan Ahern memorial 5k cross country handicap steeplechase took place on Saturday the 9th in Malahide Castle. The soft underfoot conditions and the jumps on the 3 lap course made it a difficult test for all 67 starters. John Doyle was first home with over 2 and a half minutes to spare, Mary Purdue-Smyth took second place, with Gerard O’Sullivan in third. Fastest time was Eoin Murray in 18.37.
