Nov 13, 2011 [Noel Guiden] Congratulations to Brian Gregan on being named at Athletics Ireland`s U/23 Athlete of the year at last nights awards dinner in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry. Brian`s award is well deserved in recognition of his outstanding year in 2011: representing Ireland in the European Indoors, National Indoor 400m champion, European U/23 Silver medalist, 5th in the World University Games final, and now a sub 46 second 400m runner. Brian was the only Clonliffe winner on the night from a record number of nominations from the one club: Alistair Cragg track & field and endurance, Brian McMahon mountain running, John Shields coach, and Clonliffe men`s track & field team and Clonliffe as Club of the year. Congratulations from Clonliffe to DSD on their achievements in being named the 2011 club of the year.
