Gregan clocks season`s best in Switzerland, plus round up

400m man Brian Gregan continues to race back to form clocking an SB of 46.34 at the Stade du Bout du Monde, Geneva as he placed 6 in the A 400 today. Also getting back to form was Keith Pike who ran 10.78 in his 100m at the same meet.

Meanwhile in the slightly less glamorous Tullamore Harriers Stadium this evening at the IMC/Tullamore Harriers meet Mark McDonald clocked 1.55.28 and Andriu Jenkinson 1.55.85 in the 800 A (unofficial times)

Also on the roads at the Patrick Bell 5k on Saturday evening Declan Power was 9th and 3rd O/40 in 15.55, David Brady 23rd in 16.56 and Sean Doran 34th (17.25)

Back then to today (Sunday) and the exotic location of Casablanca for Sergiu Ciobanu running 31.12 for 10k. All not as it seems, however, firstly our Sergiu is dscribed on the results as non other than Sergiu Eireannach (not bad as Sergiu is now an Irish Passport holder)  Sergiu takes up the story on Facebook: “This is Morocco they say.  Ran 31:12min for the Casablanca 10km; very hot and humid, but this wasn’t the worst. The race started while 30-40 athletes were on their way to the start line so they just turned around and started to race already having a head start of 60-80m; media cars and trucks stuck in the middle of the road. Some experience.”
