Clonliffe’s Brian Gregan ran his best competitive race in today’s World Championship heats in London.
Running in the fourth heat, and ranked 6th of the eight athletes, Brian’s superb season continued when he finished 3rd in a time of 45.37. Picking off a couple of athletes over the final 100m, Brian’s time was his second fastest ever and augurs extremely well for tomorrow’s Semi Final.
This Semi Final is scheduled for 19.48, and Brian has drawn lane 8 of 9, where he is joined by the present and former Olympic champions in Wayde van Niekerk and LaShawn Merrit.
