Gregan third in heat at World Indoors

Mar 12, 2010 [Jeremy Lyons] Brian Gregan narrowly missed out on qualification to the semi-finals this morning by 0.20 secs. He ran to form in his heat, finishing 3rd behind favourite Jamaal Torrance of USA. Gregan’s time of 47.26 is his 2nd fastest ever indoors.

The 20 year old lost ground on the opening 200m lap but despite coming back strongly in the latter half of the race the gap to 2nd and automatic qualification was too much to try and bridge.

His championships aren’t finished though as he is a key member of the 4 x 400 team that will run their heat tomorrow.
