Helena Butterly wins Clontarf Half Marathon, plus more

Clonliffe’s Helena Butterly impressed enormously in coming home 1st woman (and 23rd overall) in this morning’s Clontarf half marathon. Helena took over 3 minutes off her PB as she won in an excellent 1:21.17. Cian O’Raghallaigh was next in in a time of 1:26.08, Ronan Delaney 1:41.32, Andrew Gaffney, out for social run, 1:43.16, Chloe Heaslip in her half marathon debut clocked 1:43.59, Brendan Pollard 1:46.04, Shane Farrell 1:48.03, Sean Scott 1:55.24, Nosipho Mjiyakho 2:54.52. In the 5 mile in Clontarf: Shane Keville 30.52 and Sandra Jordan 44.22.

In Canada at the Ontario Central Region Cross Country Championships Laura Tuite was 12th in the women’s 8k (30.42) as her team Monarch AC finished 1st. In the men’s race Eoin Taggart, also Monarch AC was 19th (25.32), with the team 2nd.
