History brought from Black and White to Full Colour

With the kind permission of Rob Cross we bring you his colourised and restored photograph of Clonliffe’s Norman Mc Eachern winning the 1924 Tailteann Games 800m at Croke Park, Dublin.

McEachern was a two time Olympian, 1924 and 1928. He qualified for the ’24 Games as a result of winning the Tailteann Games in this very picture! He was the National 440 yds champion in 1921 and 880 yds champion in 1921, 1926, 1927 and 1928.
