With the temperature rising to 24 degrees it made for hot and sticky racing at today’s IMC meet in Greystones. Efrem Gidey made light of the conditions running an excellent pb and going sub 15 for the first time as he won the 5000 B race in 14.51.53. Both Ian Guiden and Adam O’Brien found it somewhat tougher Ian getting cut off over the final laps of the A race to finish in 15.15.21 while Adam came home in 15.41.87 in the B race. There was a win for Mark McDonald in the 800 B 1.58.68. In the 1500 PBs were recorded by Cathal Doyle 3.55.11 and Daniel Stone 4.13.19. Sean Carrig ran 4.17.48. Greta Streimikyte ran 2.17.68 and Orna McGinley 2.27.37 in the women’s 800.
