The 2022 Indoor season gets underway on 9 January with round one of the national indoor league taking place in Abbottstown. Events in the competition for round one are: 60, 200, 800, 4 x 400, long jump, pole vault, shotput. In addition, and not part of the indoor league competition, for athletes who wish to enter themselves there is the 60 H, 1500 and 400.
Round two of the indoor league will take on 23 January in Athlone with the final for qualifiers (the first six teams) taking place in Abbottstown on February 12.
The Clonliffe men and women’s teams entered at the start of January will be posted on the website and athletes who wish to enter the individual events (60 H, 1500, 400) can enter now through the Athletics Ireland entry system. Please note that all athletes who are taking part in either the league competition or individually must have their club subscriptions paid and the registered by the club with athletics Ireland before January 8. Please further note that Athletics Ireland rules for the event in compliance with government guidelines concerning Covid 19 state:
- Due to current Government Guidelines all Athletes, Coaches & Spectators will have to be
either vaccinated or recently recovered from Covid. This will be check upon entry to the
venue. - Events subject to any further Government Restrictions.
Closing dates:
Teams will be entered by the club Captains by Jan 3rd. Closing date for non league (60H, 400, 1500) is Jan 5th.
