Intermediate men win silver

Nov 20, 2011 [Noel Guiden] The Clonliffe Intermediate men`s team picked up silver medals at today`s Dublin Intermediates in Tymon Park behind Raheny Shamrocks. The men`s team was lead in by Mark McDonald who had a fine run in 2nd place, some 30 seconds behind Crusaders Sam Meely. David Krinjik was next scorer in 6th place having his best race todate in black and amber, ever dependable Brian Tobin was next in 14th with Stephen Harkness the final scorer in 20th. The team scored a total of 42 points, 5 off the Raheny team with Crusaders 3rd on 50 points. There was a great three way Clonliffe battle just behind Harko with Colm Hickey fastest finisher in 29th, Darragh Cullen 30th and Eoin Murray 31st, these three seperated by only 11 seconds. A big well done to Sinead Hartnett the sole Clonliffe athlete in the women`s race finishing in 22nd.

Meanwhile on Saturday the Winter sun continued to shine for the BHAA Bank of Ireland Beach Race in Dollymount where Ernie Rahsey was 17th, Tom Sherlock 27th and Joyce O`Hare 96th
