A rare headline indeed! It happened however yesterday at the national U/20 and U/23 championships in Tullamore. On his debut in the famed black and amber vest newly minted Clonliffe Harrier Isaac Murray won the national U/23 discus title in Tullamore with a best of 37.04. Making it a Clonliffe double in the discus was Megan Comiskey winning the U/20 title with a best of 43.04. Megan also placed 4th in the hammer (44.42).
Davey Davitt took a break from the hurdles and instead went in the U/20 400 ‘flat’ where he took bronze in 48.58, having earlier clocked 48.66 in his heat. Also competing in Tullamore were Christopher Lynch who was 3rd in his 400 heat in 50.66 and Jonny Fitzsimons 3rd in his heat in 51.18. In the 100 Bilal Kanmodo was 3rd in his U/20 heat (11.30).
