It’s an 800 PB night!

After the excitement of the National Indoor championship at the weekend it was  back up to the Abbotstown on Wednesday evening  for the final night of the Track & Field Live.

In Heat 1 of the 60 m Adam Festus was 2nd in 7:56 with Kamil Tomko in 6th in 8:44. Heat 3 Mark Murray was 4th in 7:53 with Evan Storey in 7th in 7:55. In the Final Race Mark Murray improved on his earlier race to finish in 2nd in 7:41 with Evan Storey in 6th in 7:57.

In the Women’s Long Jump Snezana Bechtina was 2nd with a first round jump of 4.69m.

On the track Fintan Kerins continued his fine recent performance in the Men’s Elite Mile, finish 6th in a time of 4:17:73, the race was won by National 3000m champion Sean Tobin in 4:03:14.

In the Men’s 800 m there were 6 Clonliffe men in the 3 heats. Fastest on the night and agonisingly close to the 2:00 minute barriers was Evan Lynch who was 3rd in Heat 3 in a time of 2:00:67, this was a 7 sec PB! Also in Heat 3 was Ben Power who ran an equally impressive PB of 6 secs to register a time of 2:26:02 in 7th place.

In Heat 1 Dylan Connolly Finished 2nd in a PB of 2:05:57, with Rob Mackey, making his Clonliffe debut,  in 3rd in 2:06:24, also a PB and Tadgh Cowley, a Junior Athlete, in 6th in 2:18:65. In Heat 2 James Murphy ran an indoor PB of 2:13:5, finishing 2nd .
