Jayme Rossister had an excellent run in Saturday`s English National Cross Country at Parliament Hill, Hampstead Heath, London finishing a superb 29th place. The English National attracts a huge field, with today`s race having over 2,300 finishers in the senior men`s race which was won by Adam Hickey (Southend On Sea AC) in 39.35, Jayme recorded a time of 41.45 for the 12,000m race.
News from the States of Brian Flanagan winning his heat in the 5000 (15.12.19) for McNeese at the Southland Conference Indoors, held in Birmingham, Alabama on Friday the 23rd.
Also in the States on Saturday the 24th Aaron Hanlon was 8th in the 5000 Big East Indoors Staten Island in 14.30.89. Sean Doran, despite a wrong turn, was 2nd in the Fitzer 5k in 16.41.
Sunday: Sean Doran doubled up with another 5k road race, this time placing 3rd in the Duleek 5k in 16.03. Emer Brennan was 47th (22.02). Also today at the Adamstown Community Collge 10k David Mullen finished in 4th place (36.45)
