Julie Larkin wins the Richie Barr Trophy

On Thursday evening 29th June 2023 the Clonliffe Grand Prix made a welcome return to Morton Stadium. It was fitting that the first event should be two exciting 800m races on the new Mondo track. 

Congratulations to Julie Larkin who ran an excellent race and won the Richie Barr Trophy in a time of 2.27.  

In the same race Niall Sherlock posted the fastest time of the night, 2.09. 

In the second race Trevor Wisdom was first in a time of 2.44.  

Orla Deighan was first lady home in a time of 2.53. 

The result of the GP on the night was as follow:

A prize giving followed the race in the Clonliffe Club House.

Next Race 

The GP will now have a short pause until after the Morton Games.  

The Pat O’Hara 3000m which will be held on Thursday 20th July 2023.  

This race is kindly sponsored by Declan Hetherington.  

The 3000m will be the start of a whole series of track races namely 1500m, Night of Miles, 5000m and 10,000m. Further details of dates and times will issue shortly.
