Karl goes Green at B & I Masters

The British and Irish Masters cross country returned today after a Covid inflicted hiatus to Santry Park with Clonliffe Harriers acting as the host club. It proved to be an excellent day’s cross country for the Irish teams, the men’s team delivering victories at M 40, 45 and 65, 2nd places at M35, 50, 55, 60 and 3rd places at M 70 and 75. The Irish women’s teams were even better! The Irish took coveted 1st places at W 35, 45, 50 and 70. 2nd places at W 40 and 65 and 3rd places at W 55 and 60. From a Clonliffe perspective it was a proud day for Karl Nolan winning his 1st Irish vest and being greeted on each lap by rapturous Clonliffe cheers. Karl finished a solid 37th in the combined 35 to 45 race in a time of 27.54. As always thanks to the Clonliffe contingent for giving freely of their time over the course of a long day from 7:30 AM.
