Kenneally and Ciobanu win on the road

Two mainstays of our National Cross Country teams over the years were back on the road circuit with wins last night. In this second race back (Donadea 5k on July 27th being his first) after a long time out with injury, Mark Kenneally was successful at the Streets of Athboy 5km. His winning time of 14.55 saw him finish a minute clear of Luke Forde in second place.

Meanwhile, further south at the Galtee Runners 8km, Sergiu Ciobanu overcame some closer attention with a 14 seconds victory when he ran 25.15mins for victory.

Well done to both.

Continuing the winning streak for our athletes was Declan Power. He was the winner of the Howth Summer Summit 10k in a time of 34.04mins.
