Killian Lonerigan makes fine come back

Jun 29, 2008 [Noel Guiden] Another fine Clonliffe athlete on the comeback trail is Killian Lonergan after a long spell on the sidelines through injury. In last night`s British Milers Club meet in Solihull Killian showed that he`s back in business with an excellent run in the 5,000m running a season`s best of 14:07.05 finishing 7th in his race. Brian McMahon also ran a season`s best over the same distance clocking 14:59.75. In the 800m Conor Healy was 4th in his race in a time of 1:52.63. Also in action at this meet were Gary O`Hanlon 3:52 for 10th place and Aidan Bailey 15th in 3:55.36 in the 1500m.

At the Biberach meeting in Germany James Nolan was 6th in a time of 3.42.27. The race was won in 3.40.46 by Kenya’s Isaac Sang.

John Laffey meanwhile took in the “Share the Dream” meet in Greystones on Friday night finishing 2nd in the 400m in 49:31.
