Clonliffe athletes in track action this weekend included Marcus Lawler on the Irish 4 x 100 relay team in Geneva yesterday where they recorded a time of 39.49 placing 6th. The Irish men’s relay squad are currently in a qualifying position on rankings for the Europeans later in the summer.
Cathal Doyle put his disappointment of not qualifying for the NCAA 1500 final behind him last night as he won his 1500 race at the Portland track festival in an excellent 3.38.63.
Also at yesterday’s Watford BMC Jonny Whan was back racing after injury posting a 3.50.80 1500 for 2nd in race E.
