The Leinster Indoor Championships were held at the NIA Abbotstown today. Highlight of the meet was another Keith Marks jumps double as he won the high jump with a 1.90m best and the long jump in a new championship best of 7.04. For good measure Keith also finished 3rd in the 60m (7.08 after a 7.03 heat). Isreal Ibeanu was 5th in that 60m in 7.31, having clocked 7.34 in his heat.
Snezana Bechtina won the 400 in 59.53. Diana Markin was 4th in the 200.
In the junior championship Hannah Browne and Ale Hernandez enjoyed a great battle over 800 Hannah placed 4th (2.24.38) with Ale a fraction behind, 5th (2.25.39) and Cliona Cooley 11th (2.42.39). Abbie Sheehy placed 5th in the 1500 (5.11.86) with Tess Loftus 7th (5.38.65). Cian Bolger was 4th in heat 2 of the400 (54.61).
In the Master`s Championship Matt Slattery won M65 Gold in the 200 (29.56). In the M55 3000 Philip O`Doherty took silver with Tom Monks taking bronze. Bronze also for Martin Treacy in the M60 1500 (5.36)
