Clonliffe athletes have been battling away for their schools over the past 7 days competing in the Leinster regions schools cross country championships, with prized Leinster cross country places up for grabs. The qualifiers of course suffered some disruption with cancellations last Friday due to the red warnings as the weekend’s storm gathered pace. Thus the north Leinster’s only took place today. Over the course of the week highlights the have included a one two courtesy of Lorraine O’Connor and Emily Bolton in the senior girls East Leinster cross country, a Benjacar 8th and 11th, 4th place finish today in the senior boys at the north Leinster’s by Matei Ursachi and a battling performance by the St Aidan’s senior team to bronze and places in the Leinster final.
