It was another good day for Clonliffe athletes competing for their schools in yesterday’s Leinster schools cross country championships at Dublin’s Phoenix Park. The highlight was undoubtedly the Clonliffe one, two in the senior girls race where Emily Bolton took the plaudits with Lorraine O’Connor in 2nd place. In the senior boys race Lorcan Benjacar was the club’s top finisher in 4th place, Lorcan along with brother Aidan in 36th took team silver for Ard Scoil Ris and places in next month’s all Ireland schools finals, Tom Breslin was 6th and Matei Ursachi 15th and both qualify as individuals for the final.
