Sean Cronin and Christopher Lynch both took excellent Leinster senior schools titles in Morton Stadium today and in the process booked their tickets for the All Ireland Schools in June.
Sean Cronin won the 1500 in a time of 3.56.41 while Christopher broke the 50 second barrier with a superb 49.96 in the 400, a PB.
Also competing today in the senior boys 1500 Lorcan Benjacar was 7th (4.05.54), in the inter-1500 younger brother Aedan finished 5th (4.24.47).
In the steeplechase Matei Ursachi was in that unlucky 4th position, just out of the medals, in the senior boys 2000 SC (6.28.26). In the inter boys 1500 SC Jack Quinn was also in 4th position (4.57.46) with Tadgh Cowley 8th (5.23.16).
Ava Usanova finished 5th in the senior girls 200 in a time of 26.40. In the senior boys 200 Bilal Kanimono finished 4th in 23.68. In the Senior boys 400H 8th James Duane 65.25.
