Marcus Lawler has well and truly put his injury woes behind him as he continued his fantastic late season form today at the BFTTA Open Meet in Lee Valley, London today. Some 2 weeks after setting a new club 100 record in the National League final in Tullamore, Marcus today set a new club 200 record, replacing his own mark, with a 20.63 (-0.4) as he took 1st place. Earlier in the meet he finished 5th in both rounds of the 100 clocking 10.41 and 10.48.
Yesterday, Saturday, David Donegan finished in 3rd position in the Northern Ireland track and field championships in the pole vault with a best of 4.10m.
Friday night, the 9th, at the Kells Heritage 5K Sean Doran finished in 3rd position (15.25) with Eoin Maguire 5th (16.35) and in 12th position, 1st M 60, Pat O’Grady (17.54) with the 3 combining to take the team prize for Clonliffe
