Massive 400H by Davey Davitt, plus round up (updated)

Davey Davitt ran a brilliant PB of 52.31 in the 400 Hurdles in the US yesterday. This is a World U/20 B standard, a new Clonliffe U/20 record and places him 2nd behind Tom Pitkin’s 51.07 on the club All time List. Davey was competing in the CHSAA Intersectional Championships, Icahn Stadium, Randall Island, New York. Later for good measure he took silver in the 400 flat in 48 18 also a PB!

Also on Saturday in Brussels Stephen Cashin ran an 11 second 5,000 PB of 14.43.81. Brian Gregan 47.93 over 400 and Chris Sibanda 21.62 over 200.

Eoin Maguire ran a 10K PB in the Law Society’s Calcutta Run in Dublin of 35.27.

Sunday: the LSA 4 Mile took place in North County Dublin where Katie Halpin was 1st woman (26.46). Sunday in Brussels and Cathal Doyle was once again agonisingly close to that European QT finishing 2nd in 36.14. Also in Brussels young Sean Cronin chopped over a second off his 1500 PB as he ran 3.47.80. Jess Tappin ran 57.72 over 400 Hurdles.
