On Sunday a number of the club`s Junior and U/23 athletes were back in Tullamore for the Nationals. A number of medals were taken back to Santry. Caoimhe Morris took bronze in the U/23 Hammer (43.17m) and Discus (33.80). Also in the throws Simon Galligan won U/23 silver in the hammer (54.33). Andri Minhin was 2nd in the U/23 triple jump (13.20m) and Patrick O`Connor showed a welcome return to form taking U/23 200 bronze in 22.50. Stuat Roche finished 6th in the U/23 100 (11.46).
In the junior events, a tired Hope Saunders was 2nd in the 5000 (17.42.08), Michael Curley was 4th in the shot (11.76), Orla Barry 6th in the pole vault (2.40) and Niall Norman 6th in the 800 (2.04.20). Greg Hosseny, still U/18 had a big PB in the 5000 walk of 28.34.52.
